To SWSAD Team Manager (Coach):

 

SouthWest Softball Association of the Deaf 43rd Men's and 36th Women's Slo-Pitch Softball Regional Tournament will be in Gulfport, Mississippi on June 17th-19th, 2010.  Please make sure your team is getting ready to complete the registration form before May 17th, 2010.  You can download form from NSAD website: http://nsad.org/docs/2010tourney/2010nsadform.pdf and now you can sign up player. 

 

Team Entry fee: $225 ($125 SWSAD + $100 NSAD= $225 total)  

Player's fee: $20.00 per signed person and $25 extra per 'non-player'  - Limited to 17 players and 3 non-player per team

 

For example:  If your team have 16 players and 1 manager and 1 non player

$225 (team entry fee) + $360 (18 x $20 per signed person) + $25 Non-Player Fee)

= TOTAL $610.00 PAY TO SWSAD

 

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO NSAD...ONLY TO SWSAD!!

SWSAD will break down money and send your team entry fee to NSAD.

 

New NSAD Rules for 2010: 

 

Non-Players are require to pay extra $25 to NSAD

If you signed as non-player, it will cost you $45/non-player

($20 to SWSAD + $25 to NSAD= $45 per non-player)

Non-Players means anyone sign #18, #19, and #20 on NSAD form


NEW FREE AGENT RULES

 

Men team can get 2 free agents under the age of 40

and 2 free agent over the age of 40

and unlimited free agent over the age of 45.

 

Women team can get four free agents of any age.

 

 

 

Please have your teams follow these simple instructions:

 

  1. Scratch-outs, line-outs, white-outs, or cross-offs are NOT allowed.  Once a participant writes and signs the form, the information must be left as is on the form; that player is considered as a team.  Incomplete or altered forms will be rejected.

 

  1. The date of a signature should have month, day and year:  Without the proper dates, that would not be acceptable.  Coaches are fully responsible for all information on the forms.  Forged or proxy signatures are not acceptable and will result in the disqualification of the coach, manager or player from their regional tournament.

 

  1. No signatures are allowed past deadline date of June 16th, 2009.

 

  1. No additional signature beyond 20 participants (limit to 17 players/3 non-players) will be allowed.

 

  1. No double names on each line are allowed – one name per line only.

 

  1. All participants shall carry their own health and accident insurance.

 

  1. CODA is allowed to play on Men and Women team as long CODA MUST be a member of International CODA Inc.  One player per team. Free Agent rules do apply.

Please make sure your players to check www.swsad.org regularly even during off-season.  Don't forget about audiogram for new players.  If your player didn't turn in audiogram, he/she can't play.  It's in Bylaws. If your team or player have any question regarding to SWSAD/NSAD, please feel free to email me, commissioner@swsad.org.

 

If your team is planning to attend NSAD in Portland, and I suggest pay Early Bird Team Entry Fee Combo: http://nsad.org/docs/2010tourney/2010earlybird.pdf and it's separate from SWSAD.  Only SWSAD Regional Champions will receive paid berth to NSAD National Championship Tournament.
