SOUTHWEST SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION OF THE DEAF, INC.
ALL-TOURNAMENT BALLOT SYSTEM
ARTICLE ONE – METHOD
1.1 METHOD
1.1.1 The SWSAD Executive Committee shall be Co-Chairperson of all-tournament balloting.
1.1.2 The SWSAD Executive Committee shall select up to the number of club and independent
managers’ team entering the tournament shall be on the all-tournament balloting.
1.1.3 Each voter must sign the balloting form.
1.1.4 The SWSAD Executive Committee shall responsible to selecting a player for the Sam
Lane and Imogene Christofoletti Individual Sportsmanship Award.
ARTICLE TWO – BALLOT FORMS
2.1 BALLOT FORMS
2.1.1 The SWSAD Executive Committee shall be responsible for preparing the proper forms
when needed and any other needs for balloting.
2.1.2 The official ballot form for softball shall list ten (10) first (1st) team players, one (1) each
manager of the tournament and team sportsmanship.
ARTICLE THREE – AFTER THE TOURNAMENT
3.1 AFTER THE TOURNAMENT
3.1.1 The SWSAD Executive Committee shall also be present during the all-tournament
balloting.
3.1.2 The Most Valuable Player award shall automatically go to the individual player with most
points. Whoever won the Most Valuable Player shall not receive any all-tournament
award.
3.1.3 In case of a tie, the SWSAD Executive Committee shall decide by reviewing the statistics
and outcome of the game.
ARTICLE FOUR – AWARDS
4.1 AWARDS
4.1.1 The SWSAD Commissioner shall present the plaques to the teams and players.
4.1.2 The first (1st) place to fourth (4th) place and/or fifth (5th) place shall be given to the team
at the softball field.
4.1.3 The men/women first (1st) team all-tournament players, manager of the tournament, team
sportsmanship, most valuable player, individual sportsmanship players and other special awards shall be awarded at the softball field or grand ball or related events.
ARTICLE FIVE – AMENDMENTS TO ALL-TOURNAMENT BALLOT SYSTEM
5.1 SWSAD ALL-TOURNAMENT BALLOT SYSTEM CHANGES
The SWSAD All-Tournament Ballot System may be amended by a two-third (2/3) vote of the representatives from the clubs and independent present and voting at the annual SWSAD general business meeting held during the SWSAD softball tournament.
5.2 SWSAD ALL-TOURNAMENT BALLOT SYSTEM PROPOSAL
All proposals, amendments, etc.; related to SWSAD management, structure, function shall be forwarded to the SWSAD Deputy Commissioner by May 1st for Law Committee to review and to act upon. In turn, the recommendation of the Law Committee shall be forwarded to the club and independent representatives at the SWSAD general business meeting held during the SWSAD softball tournament.
